AFFIRM is a non-profit, volunteer, educational organization whose goal is to improve the management of information within the Federal Government. Founded in 1979, its members include Information Resources Management (IRM) professionals from the Federal, academic, and private sectors. AFFIRM is based in the Washington, DC area, and is an affiliated council of the American Council for Technology (ACT)

Each year since its founding in 1979, the Association for Federal Information Resources Management (AFFIRM) has presented Leadership Awards for outstanding leadership in Information Technology and related areas of management.

The 2008 AFFIRM Leadership Awards were presented at the Thursday, June 19, 2008 Annual Awards Luncheon at the Willard InterContinental Hotel, Washington D.C.

AFFIRM Endowment with Syracuse University
