Founded in 1979, its members include Information Resources Management (IRM) professionals from the Federal, academic, and private sectors. AFFIRM is based in the Washington, DC area, and is an affiliated council of the American Council for Technology (ACT)

Awards for outstanding leadership in Information Technology and related
areas of management. The 2008 AFFIRM Leadership Awards were
presented at the Thursday, June 19, 2008 Annual Awards Luncheon at the
Willard InterContinental Hotel, Washington D.C.
