Leadership in Agile
Enterprise Architecture (EA)
U.S. Department of Homeland Security

The Department of Homeland Security’s Enterprise Architecture Information Repository (EAIR) was established in 2009 to store the valuable business, data, services, and technology architecture that make up the Department’s Homeland Security Enterprise Architecture (HLS EA). The EAIR provides line of sight across enterprise data such as budgeting, programs, systems, and technology to enable effective and efficient data-driven decision making toward EA’s mission of reducing costs in information technology (IT). Under the leadership and vision of the Acting Chief Architect, Benjamin Black, and the Acting Chief Data Architect, Barry Zukose, the EAIR Team works to automate and streamline data integration and intake processes, and continuously enhance data visualization and reporting capabilities, transforming data across the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) into valuable information used by decision makers throughout the Department.
