Biography
Information Security, Information Assurance, Cyber Security...whatever term we use today, the end goal is to protect our government networks, systems, and ultimately, data. The expansion of technology and the growing mobile work force has increased the difficulty in managing the boundaries of our networks. Years of tedious audits and checking have raised awareness - now is the time to take action. With a growing trend of professional, targeted attacks, government security professionals must move to a more defensive position. Monitoring networks, examining traffic, defending the network, and consolidating gateways are the new critical projects in the federal government. During this presentation, we will examine these difficult issues and discuss the new approaches to security in the federal space.
