Speaker Biography


The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is effectively using information technology to drive change and unify the former 22 disparate agencies that now make up DHS (“One DHS”).  The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) has formed a unique partnership with the Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) Information Technology Acquisition Center (ITAC) and Enterprise Solution Office (ESO) to develop technology solutions across the vast DHS enterprise.  “One DHS” codifies longstanding challenges and reflects a commitment to a cooperative work environment.

Luncheon Attendees Will Learn:

- The unique issues facing DHS in the consolidation and functional integration of 22 agencies into a single Department
- The DHS Strategy to create a “One DHS” IT Architecture
- The role of Procurement vehicles such as EAGLE and FirstSource in unifying the Department
- Unique challenges and strategies for conducting procurements across multiple components or organizational lines
