The introduction of new and improved IP-enabled devices is continuous. This constant technological evolution is the primary reason that the Internet is experiencing a growth spurt. The next generation Internet (IPv6) promises increased address space, pervasive networking, and enhanced security. This escalating demand for "always-on" connectivity has set the stage for an innovative IP world centered around ubiquitous communications.
